Last step: where do we send your written price?

Every figure on this site is an estimate built from the quotations we issued in 2026 and our own installation experience. It is not a quotation. The price you are given after the free survey is the price you pay.

An air conditioning installation is £2,400 to £3,200 for one room and £8,400 to £11,300 for four or more. An air source heat pump with a cylinder is £13,200 to £16,200 for a three bedroom house, or £5,700 to £8,700 after the £7,500 grant. Solar starts at £3,900 to £5,050.

Every one of those is derived from quotations this company issued between July and September 2026, not from a market survey. VAT is zero on all of it until 31 March 2027.

What moves a price, in the order it moves it

The four things that actually change a quotation, with our own rates.

How many rooms

The first room carries the outdoor unit and most of the labour. Each room after it adds about £2,245, not another whole system.

Pipework past 25 metres

Twenty-five metres are in the price. After that it is £30 a metre and we charge only what goes in. On one five room job that was £2,250.

Where the machine goes

Ground level on a base is cheapest. A wall, a flat roof or a scaffold position all add, and a concrete base runs £395 to £899.

The electrics

A dedicated fuse board is £350 on air conditioning and £495 to £500 on a heat pump. Most new installations need one.

Questions about how we price

Are these your prices or market averages?

Ours. They are derived from 26 quotations this company issued between July and September 2026, and where a page names a single figure it is a real quotation total rather than a rounded example.

This site used to publish market ranges and say so. It stopped in September 2026, when the rate card was loaded in.

Is an estimate the same as a quotation?

No, and the difference matters. An estimate here is arithmetic on what you told a web page. A quotation is what we write after a surveyor has stood in the property, and it is fixed.

The survey is free, it is not a sales visit, and the price that comes out of it does not move afterwards.

Why is there no VAT on the installation prices?

The 0 per cent rate on installing energy saving materials runs until 31 March 2027, after which it is due to return to 5 per cent unless the government extends it. Air conditioning is not on that list and is charged at 20 per cent either way.

We are VAT registered under GB471566866, and commercial work is quoted differently. Servicing and repair are quoted plus VAT throughout this site.

Do you ask for a deposit?

There is a contract of sale before any work starts and it sets out any deposit. Nothing is taken before you have the written price and have read the terms.

For heat pump work under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, the grant is applied for and redeemed by us, so it comes off the price rather than being something you claim back.

The survey is free and the price after it is fixed

A surveyor measures the property, tells you what it needs, and writes a price that does not change. No cost, no obligation, no salesperson.
